What is an electro permanent magnetic clamping system?
Electro permanent magnetic quick change systems are used for fast, and safe clamping of tools in punch presses, resulting in less machine downtime.
All molds, regardless of their shape and weight, can be clamped without any mold adjustment.
The mold is clamped evenly over the entire contact surface and does not deform during the production process.
Setup times can be reduced by 90% compared to a conventional procedure.
One operator performs the procedure without climbing into the machine.
The highest standard of 8 safety functions ensure a real-time protection system.

MECHANICAL CLAMPING SYSTEM
The machine will not stop if an error occurs.
No interface with the machine.
Clamping force only on the circumference, and not on the mold part. Deformation of the mold.​
Set-up with mechanical clamps is time consuming. The operator must constantly get in and out of the machine.
Deformation of the mold during the injection process, resulting in less quality of the injected parts.
Depending on the dimensions of the back plate of the mold, the clamps must be moved continuously.
The threaded holes in the machine plate must be repaired regularly. Lots of tools needed.
HYDRAULICAL CLAMPING SYSTEM
If the electrical power fails, the pump will also fail, which could result in accidents.

The thickness of the mold back plate is limited due to the stroke of the hydraulic cylinders.
